Personalised New Baby Gift — Footprint Birth Announcement Tile
A personalised gift, laser-engraved in genuine terracotta from Provence. Bring the names and words that matter together on a keepsake.
A birth announcement engraved around a little foot
The Footprint design brings together the baby’s name and their first milestones around a foot motif. This personalised birth tile, also available as a hexagonal tomette, turns the details of the birth announcement into a decorative keepsake to keep in the family.
Name, date, length and weight to personalise
The guided personaliser offers three areas: the name, the date of birth, then the length and weight in a single field. Replace Thelma’s example details with your own and read everything through in the preview. The expert workshop lets you adjust the wording, fonts and layout of the elements.
The little foot is part of the design. The guided form does not take the baby’s real footprint: the photos show the suggested layout, with its example details.
A keepsake in Provençal terracotta
The terracotta comes from Salernes and the personalisation is laser engraved in our workshop in the Var. Its warm colour and natural grain sit nicely beside baby’s first photos on a shelf. Slight differences in shade or texture are possible between the preview and the piece you receive.
- Tomette (hexagonal): 12 × 10 cm.
- Square tile: 13 × 13 cm.
- Options: with or without a hanging hole, depending on how you want to display it.
- Preparation: 3 working days before dispatch; delivery time is extra.
Your questions about the Footprint birth announcement
Are the length and weight entered separately? They share one field in the guided personaliser. You could write, for example, “3.4 kg · 51 cm”, then check that the line is easy to read.
Should I order before the birth? Wait for the confirmed details for this personalised design. You can choose the design ahead of time and prepare your message to the parents.
Is it suitable for a nursery? Yes, as a decoration placed out of the child’s reach, on a stable support or with a suitable fixing. It is not a toy.

Your questions about “Footprint Birth Announcement”
When will it arrive?
We engrave it to order and dispatch it within 3 working days, often sooner. Then allow 2–3 working days to a pickup point or your door in France (1 working day by Chronopost), and 4–8 working days within the EU. Transit times aren't guaranteed; the estimated date is shown next to the buy button. At busy times, we'll let you know by email if it takes longer.
What if I misspell a name?
Check the preview carefully before ordering. Spotted a mistake? Email contact@mytomette.fr within 24 hours of ordering and we'll correct it before engraving.
What if it arrives damaged?
Send us a photo: if it's damaged in transit or we made a mistake, we'll re-engrave it identically or refund you, even though it's personalised.
Can I return it?
Personalised pieces can't be returned or exchanged (French Consumer Code, art. L221-28), except for defects, breakage or our mistake. That's why the preview shows you the engraving before you buy.
Where can I put it, and how do I hang it?
Solid version: stand it on a shelf or piece of furniture. Hanging version (+€3): it has a hole to hang it from a nail or string. It's a decorative piece for indoors or a sheltered outdoor spot, not a floor tile.
Is it ready to give?
Yes: every tile is wrapped in recycled kraft paper, then packed in a sturdy cardboard box, ready to give as it is. The parcel contains no invoice or price.
Can I have it delivered straight to the recipient?
Yes. At checkout, enter their address or pickup point: the parcel goes out with no invoice or price inside, wrapped in kraft paper and ready to give. Your order confirmation comes to you by email.
Can I add my logo or change the font?
Yes, in our online workshop: upload your logo or drawing and choose from over fifty fonts. From 10 pieces, we create a custom design free of charge.
