The advanced editor: create your own personalised terracotta tile

A terracotta tile, a name, a date, perhaps a logo. A simple piece of clay becomes something made just for you.

The editor also lets you create a personalised decorative tile. Start with a composition that inspires you, choose the format, then adjust the text and decorative elements. A tomette or tile, a new baby gift or a house sign: what matters is a readable design with enough space around the words.

That is exactly what we wanted to make possible, down to the smallest detail, with room for your ideas. On 17 July 2026, we were proud to announce that our advanced editor was live.

This was more than a routine update. It was the tool we had wanted to share from the beginning: a creative workshop available directly in your browser, where you can make the design decisions.

Arrange the text and motifs in your design

The idea is easy to explain and much harder to build: instead of choosing from a set of options, you compose.

Start with the blank — the format and type of tile that appeal to you — then add elements where you want them. Text, several lines, a date, a monogram. And something many of you had been asking for: your own logo. Upload it for preparation for engraving, ready to become part of the terracotta surface.

Elements can be moved, resized and centred precisely. Alignment, spacing and composition are in your hands. Instead of a fixed layout, this editor gives you a blank canvas and the tools to fill it.

A blank canvas, without the uncertainty

We know the feeling of looking at an empty space and wondering: “What should I put here?”

That is why the editor launched with a library of around fifty designs ready to personalise. They were created for home decoration, weddings and special occasions, to show a friend they matter or celebrate a pet who is part of the family.

Start with a design you like, change the name, date and words that tell your story, and you already have a finished-looking piece without beginning from scratch.

The advanced editor is for those who want control over the whole composition. But you do not always want to arrange everything yourself; sometimes you simply want a beautiful tile with your own details.

Compatible designs also offer guided personalisation : complete the fields in an existing composition. To move elements or rework the decoration, choose the advanced editor. The options on the product page show what that design supports.

One tile, many possibilities

We love seeing the different ways you use your designs.

For businesses, a piece engraved with a name or logo can become a client gift or an event keepsake. Engraving uses the material’s own contrast; it does not reproduce full-colour printing. For a batch or a particular graphic, tell us about your project on our business page.

For wedding planners and couples, it can provide a personal detail for the table: place settings, wedding favours or a dated keepsake of a special day.

Then there is perhaps the simplest and most personal use: a tile for your own home. A name, a birth date or the name of a house. A decorative object that tells a story, displayed on a shelf or near the entrance with a suitable fixing.

The same terracotta, the same care

Whichever route you choose, the material remains the same: genuine terracotta from Salernes in Provence, laser-engraved in our workshop. Its grain, warmth and texture give each piece its character. Showing those qualities at their best is why we spent so much time developing the tool.
