“Your engraved video” in detail
The leap from the bow of a boat, the first wobbly steps down the hallway, the couple walking out of the town hall under a shower of rice: our best moments sleep on our phones, buried between screenshots. The Video tomette turns one of them into a keepsake you can hold. Three moments from your video, drawn in line art and laser-engraved on three Salernes terracotta tiles. No screen, no QR code: the memory is in the clay.
How a phone video becomes a personalised keepsake
You pick a short video on your phone, three minutes at most. Our tool finds the three moments that tell the scene best, in the order they happened. Each one is redrawn in line art. You can swap a moment or reframe each tile before you confirm. Your video stays on your phone: only a few still images are analysed.
Set side by side, the three tiles read from left to right, like a strip of film. The videos that make the finest engravings are the ones where something happens: a jump, a run, an arm thrown up, a first step.
An original personalised gift, for which occasions?
- For a dad, or for Father's Day: the boat trip, the first bike ride without stabilisers, the Sunday kickabout in the park.
- For grandparents: the grandchildren running towards them across the garden. See also our personalised grandparents gifts.
- For a couple: the honeymoon, the first swim of the summer, the evening it all began, alongside our personalised couple gifts.
- For a wedding: leaving the town hall, the rice toss, the first dance. More ideas among our personalised wedding gifts.
- After the holidays: the last evening on the beach, kept as a personalised holiday keepsake.
- For Christmas: order before 20 December, and browse our other personalised Christmas gifts.
Salernes terracotta, engraved in our Hyères workshop
Each piece is a 12 × 10 cm hexagonal tomette, the traditional Provençal floor tile, made of genuine terracotta from Salernes, the village in the Var whose tiles have covered Provençal floors for generations. We laser-engrave it in our workshop in Hyères, near Toulon in the South of France: the drawing is engraved into the clay, not printed on top. No screen to switch on, no link that might expire one day: you set it down, and you glance at it as you walk past. For the story of this clay, read Salernes, home of Provençal ceramics.
What you receive
- A set of 3 hexagonal tomettes, 12 × 10 cm, in Salernes terracotta (ceramic), each engraved with one of the three moments from your video.
- Wall decor or a tabletop piece: in a row along a shelf or a picture ledge, or each tile on a wooden easel (sold separately).
- Dispatch within 72 working hours from our workshop in Hyères.
Only have a photo? The personalised photo plaque engraves a single picture, on a tomette or a tile. The place you met, a starry sky or the soundwave of a song are waiting among our engraved keepsakes.

Your questions about “Your engraved video”
Is my video uploaded to the internet?
No. Your video is read by your browser and is never uploaded. Only the drawings are stored, for 30 days, so you can return to your creation. Read our privacy policy.
Which videos can I use?
A video from your phone, from 2 seconds to 3 minutes long and up to 1 GB. Phone formats work, both MP4 and MOV. If a video won't play, open this page in Safari or Chrome, or choose a video recorded as MP4.
Can I change a moment or the framing?
Yes. Before you confirm, you can swap each of the three moments for another point in the video, then adjust the framing of each tomette. Nothing is engraved until you order.
How big are the tomettes?
The set includes three hexagonal Salernes terracotta tomettes. Each one measures 12 cm point to point and 10 cm high.
When will they arrive?
We engrave your three tomettes to order and dispatch them within 3 working days. Then allow 2–3 working days to a pickup point or your door in France.
What is the last day to order for Christmas?
For a Christmas present, order before 20 December. Every set is engraved to order in our Hyères workshop, then dispatched.
Can I have them delivered straight to the recipient?
Yes. At checkout, enter their address or pickup point: the parcel goes out with no invoice or price inside. Your order confirmation comes to you by email.
What if a tomette arrives damaged?
Send us a photo: if it's damaged in transit or we made a mistake, we'll re-engrave it identically or refund you, even though it's personalised.
Can I return them?
Personalised pieces can't be returned or exchanged (French Consumer Code, art. L221-28), except for defects, breakage or our mistake. That's why the preview shows you the three engravings before you buy.
The workshop behind your tomettes
Your three tomettes are laser-engraved in our workshop in Hyères, in the Var, on genuine Salernes terracotta. The laser follows every line of the drawing, down to the smallest detail, and Marion prepares every order.
